The Critic rarely watches college basketball prior to the month of March. An intriguing match-up involving two quality programs is the exception. Thus, with eager anticipation, or as much as one can muster fro college basketball, my ass was parked firmly in the recliner for the UNC-Arizona game. Mistake. UNC dominated, eviscerated, and obliterated Arizona. For a while it seemed as if UNC had a sixth player on the court but I kept counting and indeed it was five on five. Arizona was lost during the game missing nice back-door cuts. I kept asking myself if this was PAC-10 basketball? Other than UCLA, is there another worthy team capable of playing high quality hoops? Please don’t mention Oregon as an example. No way they match up with Florida or UNC.
